The Middle Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project’s Yellow River Crossing is a critical infrastructure project in China, designed to transport water from the south to the north side of the Yellow River, thereby supplying water to regions north of the river.

The Yellow River tunnel crossing is a long-distance tunnel and the inspection, operation, and maintenance work faces a lot of challenges, such as signal attenuation, power loss, increased water resistance on the cables, and limited positioning accuracy within the tunnel when an ROV travels over 1km underwater.

DEEPINFAR has developed a specialized ROV inspection solution for long tunnels. This solution applies AI modeling underwater integrated navigation and positioning technology, high-flow tunnels with all-around automatic inspection technology. It effectively integrates the ROV control system, cable spool, and transport system. This allows for 360° omnidirectional environmental scanning, specific area stationary hover observation, and precise reporting of observation target locations. It is suitable for different water conveyance structures such as inverted siphons, tunnels, culverts, and box culverts, providing operational maintenance and security for the safe functioning of the Middle Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.
